A thorough inspection of your property by experts in insect extermination is an important first step in termite control as there are several types of termite from drywood termites to subterranean termites, with overlapping, but potentially different types of treatment. At Adios Pest Control we always recommend organic termite control whenever possible. The most widely known style of treatment is whole-structure treatment; which is defined as the simultaneous treatment of all infestations, accessible and inaccessible, in a structure. Consideration must be given to the small colony size, and the possibility that multiple colonies may exist within a single structure. A localized or spot treatment is more restrictive, often applied to a single board or small group of boards. Homeowners are advised to know the distinction between whole-structure and spot treatments when deciding which method to select because all treatment methods are not equivalent. Whole-structure treatments have an advantage over spot treatments in that they can eliminate all infestations, even hidden ones. In some cases soil applications of residual insecticides, either as pretreatments or as treatment post-construction are necessary for a termite infestation. Termite bait products may prove to be effective in eliminating underground colonies altogether. Call Adios Pest Control to arrange for your termite inspection and extermination.
